Self-Compassion

If like me, life has beaten and broken you down… If like me, you felt alone and afraid… If like me, people and circumstances, have disappointed you, and shaken your faith and your own ability to stand up again, the following self compassion letter is for you.

🍵 Letter of Self-Compassion to Myself 🍵

Dear Me/You,

I see you. I see how much you’ve carried, how much you’ve endured, and how deeply you’ve given of yourself when life asked more than was fair. You have faced moments that could have broken you, yet here you are—still standing, still trying, still reaching toward healing and growth.

It’s okay to admit that it’s been hard. It’s okay to feel the weight of exhaustion, grief, or frustration. None of this makes you weak; it makes you human. You have been doing the best you can in circumstances that most people could not imagine.

I want you to remember that you are not defined by struggle alone. You are also defined by resilience, by the tenderness in your heart, by the way you continue to love, care, and hope even when the world feels heavy. That is strength in its truest form.

You don’t need to prove anything to anyone anymore. You are already enough. You are worthy of rest, joy, and gentleness. You deserve to be cared for just as much as you care for others.

So take this moment to breathe. Release the pressure to be perfect, to hold it all together at every moment. You have permission to soften, to trust that it’s safe to take small steps, to allow yourself to be nourished.

I’m proud of you—not just for what you’ve survived, but for who you are becoming through it. Your story is not only one of hardship, but also of courage, compassion, and possibility.

With love and with kindness,

Yourself ♥️
